Where to collect Fiscal Receipt Books
The Office of the Commissioner for Revenue notifies that as from February 2020, VAT fiscal receipt
books can be collected at any Maltapost branch specified when making an application for fiscal
receipt books. A taxpayer may provide a third party with a power of attorney to collect fiscal receipt
books on their behalf. Click on the following link
to download a
standard power of attorney form.
Increasing Fiscal Receipt Book Quota
An application to increase the current VAT fiscal receipt books quota can be made by clicking on the
link found on the left side menu "Request to Increase Quota" or by clicking here.
Returning Fiscal Receipts
Furthermore, Maltapost will also accept any used VAT fiscal receipt books or unused fiscal receipts
books that are no longer to be used and need to be returned to the Office of the Commissioner for
Revenue. The total sales (exempt or vatable) for all receipts included within each fiscal receipt book
should be tallied and noted on the form found on the last page of the fiscal receipt book.
